The Bulldogs just keep on rolling. Montevallo has scored more points each week this season than the week before, and continued that trend on Sept. 11 with a 50-18 drubbing on the road against a Holt team that had no chance on this night.

From the jump, Montevallo took control. Quarterback Zac Oden found Blake Smith for a 59-yard touchdown pass just 20 seconds into the first quarter to give the Bulldogs an early 6-0 lead. Later in the first quarter, bruising running back Undreaz Lilly capped off a drive with a two-yard touchdown dive to extend the Montevallo lead to 12-0 heading into the second quarter.

Oden connected for a long touchdown again early in the second quarter, when he found Ahmad Edwards for a 62-yard strike to extend the lead to 18-0 early. Late in the second quarter, right before halftime, Caleb Cottingham punched one in from a yard out to continue the trend of one long ball, one dive run per quarter to give the Bulldogs a 24-6 lead at the half.

Kerry Mack added a 34-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter to put this game out of reach at 30-12 with 17 seconds left in the quarter. In the fourth, Oden found Jamal Figueroa for a 20-yard score, Lilly punched in another one-yard score, and Mack added a four-yard score as well to end this one at 50-18, another impressive victory for a surprisingly undefeated Montevallo team.

Oden finished the game 7-12 for 182 yards and three touchdowns while Lilly finished with 101 yards on 17 carries and a pair of touchdowns. Mack also carried the ball 11 times, gained 121 yard and a pair of scores as well.

Hunter Nabors led the way for Montevallo on defense with nine tackles while Levi Layton had eight as well.

Montevallo advances to 4-0 with the win, and will return home for its second-to-last home game of the year with a contest against Sipsey Valley on Sept. 18.
