ALABASTER – Friends of the Albert L. Scott Library are presenting the fall book and bake sale Oct. 2–4 at the Library located at 100 Ninth St. NW in Alabaster.

The event will offer an extensive assortment of history and biography books donated from a private Library. There will also be a large quantity of fiction in and many other categories.

Paperback and children’s books will be 50 cents apiece and all other hardback books will be $1.

The Friends of the Library also will have home baked cookies and brownies for sale.

Friends of the Library members can attend the members’ Friday night preview sale from 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 2. Membership fees to become a Friends member is $10 Saturday, Oct. 3, book sale hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 4, hours are from 1-3 p.m.

Sunday, the organization will offer a “Fill a bag day” with customers able to fill a brown paper bag with books for $6.

The book sale is one of two fundraisers the Friends hold each year to support the programs and services the Library provides to Alabaster residents.
