The post reads that two black males in their early 20s, with close cropped hair and slim builds, robbed a woman of her purse and car following a traffic accident near County Road 11 and County Road 332 in Pelham.

The suspects, who are believed to be between 5-foot-8-inches and 6-feet tall, were driving what appeared to be a grey ‘90s model Buick/Oldsmobile 4-door sedan. The vehicle had no hubcaps and had Alabama tag No. 1BA8630.

One suspect was armed with a black small caliber revolver, according to the Facebook post.

“This appears at this time to be an isolated and random crime of opportunity and there is no reason to believe the victim was targeted or that other similar crimes have or will occur in this area,” the post read.

The victim’s vehicle was recovered in the Findley Boulevard area of Birmingham, and detectives have reason to believe that the suspects frequent the Fountain Heights area of Birmingham.

Anyone with information can reach detective Brad Jordan at 620-6550.
