Road re-opened after crash on Shelby County 26 near Alabama 70

A crash on Shelby County 26 near Alabama 70 in Columbiana has been cleared, and the road is open for travel.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Columbiana Police Department responded to the crash on Friday, Sept. 25 at about 9:30 a.m. in the area of Billy Wane Acres near Alabama 70, according to a SCSO press release posted at 10 a.m.

Traffic was rerouted by authorities on the scene for nearly an hour.

A LifeSaver helicopter responded to the crash.
