HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Over the weekend from Sept. 26-27 the women’s golf team placed fourth out of the 14-team field at the Bearcat Invitational. The Falcons also placed three golfers in the top 20.

The Falcons started day one shooting a team nine-over 297 and finished in fourth place, 18 strokes out of first.

Day one also saw Arin Eddy shoot an even par 72 and Elaine Wood shot a 1-over 73.

In the final round of the invitational the Falcons cut two strokes off of their previous score to shoot a 295 and finish the tournament 16 strokes over par and in fourth place.

Emily Romkey shot the best round for the Falcons on day two with an even-par 72.

Eddy and Morgan Natale both finished the second round with a two-over 74.

Eddy led all Montevallo golfers with a two-over 144, which was good enough for ninth place. Both Romkey and Wood tied for 14th place shooting a four-over 148.

The Falcons are back in action on October 19-20 when they head to Saint Leo, Florida for the Saint Leo Invitational.
