Sharon Kay Evans Hancock, age 47, of Maylene, died Wednesday, Sept. 30.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 2 at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Stone and Rev. Steve Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Old Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 before the service. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her father, George Howell Evans.

She is survived by her husband, David Alan Hancock; sons, Andrew Lyle Thomas and Michael Ryan Thomas; mother, Joan Strickland Hinson (Billy); brothers, Larry Wayne Evans (Mary) and David Alan Evans (Peggy) and numerous other family  and friends.
