CHELSEA – The Chelsea Business Alliance’s second Flapjack Fundraiser will be held Nov. 14 from 8-10 a.m. at Applebee’s in Chelsea.

Proceeds from the fundraiser go to the CBA Scholarship Fund for Chelsea High School student in the Future Business Leaders of America group. This year, the CBA voted to split funds collected at the Nov. 14 event between the scholarship and the school to use for equipment or other educational purposes.

Tickets are $5 each for a pancake, sausage and orange juice or coffee breakfast.

Tickets may be purchased before the event from CBA members or at the door with cash or check.

“We had over 300 people attend last year, and we sold about 450 tickets,” CBA Executive Director Je Anne Smith said.

The first CBA scholarship, awarded to CHHS senior Jake Cotton in May, was worth $3,000.

Those who purchase tickets may dine in or carry out.

Smith said the CBA plans to start holding two flapjack fundraisers per year.

The Nov. 14 event marks the group’s first fall flapjack fundraiser. The next one is planned for February 2016.

The title sponsor of the event is Pulmonary Associates.
