HELENA–Commuters and residents in the Helena area need to prepare for travel delays due to road construction in the coming months, according to a press release from the Shelby County Highway Department.

Road construction on Shelby County 91 and Shelby County 17 in Helena will begin Nov. 4 and the construction is scheduled to be completed prior to Spring 2016 depending upon weather conditions.

There will be various lane closures on weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the release.

Travel delays are possible during times when lane closures are in place and motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in construction zones.
