Funeral service for Dorothy Southern Whitten, age 89, will be Friday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment will be at Macedonia North Cemetery in Vincent. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whitten passed away Monday, Nov. 23. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Whitten, and son, Kenny Whitten.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Lenn; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Edna Flemming.
