HELENA–The Jane B. Holmes Public Library was filled with smiling faces and eager children on Monday, Dec. 14, as Santa and Mrs. Claus made a trip to the library to visit and take pictures with Helena children.

Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted children both one at a time as well as multiple siblings to gain an idea of what things were on their Christmas wish list.

First grader Cadence Jordan visited Santa with her family and said “Barbie stuff” was one of the main things on her Christmas wish list this year.

“My favorite thing about Christmas is opening presents,” said Jordan. “I know the real reason is to celebrate Jesus’ birthday too.”

In addition to the free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Jane B. Holmes Library provided free snacks and refreshments for families in attendance.

As much as the children were excited to see Santa, parents also saw it as an opportunity to capture moments of their children they could keep forever.

“Well this was the first time none of them cried,” Audra Posey said with a laugh as her three children, ages 4 and 2, met with Santa to discuss what they wanted for Christmas. “They loved it this time and enjoyed telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas.”
