HELENA–Helena residents who have Verizon as their main phone carrier will no longer need to make a trip to another city to purchase a new phone or for service, because a new Verizon store is now open in Helena.

The Russell Cellular Verizon store located at 295 Helena Marketplace in Helena celebrated their ribbon cutting grand opening on Thursday, Jan. 28.

Members of the Helena community including Helena Mayor Mark Hall, the Helena Belles and more were on hand to celebrate the opening.

“I hope to have a lot of really great memories here and we’re super excited to be able to come to Helena and service the community,” said Russell Cellular Verizon District Sales Manager Scott McGough. “If you can let the community know so I can reach out to anyone that we might be able to help because Russell Cellular is very excited to be here.”

The store carries the latest phones, accessories and more in a 1,200 square-foot space.

“We just appreciate your company making the investment in Helena and we welcome you here,” said Hall. “We think you’ve got a great spot and like we say ‘Helena is where you want to be.’ We’ve been needing this for a long time so we think you’ll do well.”

The stores current hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
