Jeffery Paul Jolly pleaded guilty to two felony counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance during a Dec. 16, 2015, hearing in front of Shelby County Circuit Court Judge Dan Reeves.

A third unlawful distribution of a controlled substance charge against Jolly was dismissed through a plea agreement with prosecutors.

As a result of his guilty pleas, Jolly, who currently lists an address in Birmingham, will spend the next six years in the Alabama Penitentiary. Jolly had one previous felony conviction for a first-degree receiving stolen property charge he pleaded guilty to in 1997, according to court documents.

Unlawful distribution of a controlled substance is a Class B felony, and carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

According to his arrest warrants, Jolly distributed amphetamine at two locations on Oct. 2, 2014: Once in the 1500 block of Alabama 70 in Columbiana and another time in the 9100 block of Alabama 119 in Alabaster.

Jolly also allegedly distributed amphetamine in the 9200 block of Alabama 119 in Alabaster on Oct. 7, 2014, according to his arrest warrants.

Amphetamine is a controlled substance stimulant, and includes prescription medications such as Adderall.
