PELHAM— This Valentine’s Day, Warehouse 31 is offering a less traditional way to celebrate with the third annual Bloody Valentine haunted house. Rather than dinner and a movie, guests can enjoy all the fun of Halloween with a Valentine’s twist Feb. 12-14.

“I never really realized that before, but there’s a lot of people that just don’t like Valentine’s, so this kind of fits right in there with them,” said Jason Sills, owner of Warehouse 31. “For those people, it gives them something much different to do.”

Both indoor haunted indoor attractions will feature themes of relationships gone wrong through anti-Valentine’s Day décor and monsters offering to replace or pull broken hearts.

Warehouse 31 is also introducing a new character this year: Little Miss Heartless. She will be posing at the photo booth with all the visitors. Sills said that while Little Miss Heartless might not look scary, she wields a knife and is quick to offer chilling relationship advice.

“I think the people that come through Valentine’s will really get a kick out of it,” Sills said.

Sills said attendance has grown each year they’ve had Blood Valentine, and Sills said they’ve received many positive remarks about the haunted house.

“Ever since we got in the haunted house business, because we leave everything up all year, we’ve always thought about some different things that we could do,” Sills said. “Bloody Valentine is just one of those things that was on the hit list of things we could try.”

Similar to the setup at Warehouse 31 in October, attendees can watch horror movies on a big screen while they wait to enter the haunted house. Food and drinks, such as beer, wine and sodas, are also available for purchase.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12-14. Warehouse 31 is open until 11 p.m. Feb. 12-13 and until 10 p.m. on Feb. 14.

Tickets are on sale now at Warehouse31.com and through EventBrite, or they can be purchased at the Box Office during the event. For more information, visit Warehouse31.com.
