One injured in 2-vehicle crash in Columbiana

COLUMBIANA – One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on the afternoon of Feb. 12 in Columbiana.

The wreck happened at about 4:30 p.m. between a Buick sedan and a Chevrolet pickup truck at the intersection of Chelsea Road and Alabama 25 near Brown Lumber and Building Supply Inc., causing minor traffic delays.

Two people, one in each vehicle, were involved. One person was transported by ambulance for medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, Columbiana Police Officer Mike Peppers said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, Peppers said.

Columbiana police and fire departments and Southeast Shelby Rescue responded to the scene, which was cleared by about 5:20 p.m.
