Mary Magdalene “Mama” Boothe Polk, age 91, of Pea Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 20, just 20 days after the loss of her husband of 72 years. She spent her life dedicated to and caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Polk; grandchildren, Laura McNeel and Dana Bessiere; and son-in-law, Stephen Taylor.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret McNeel (Johnny) and Joannie Taylor; sisters, Mary Evelyn Clark (Bud Belcher) and Dorris Herron; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 10-11 a.m. at Aldrich Assembly of God Church in Aldrich, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Jerry Phillips and Rev. Bobby Coston will be officiating her service. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge.
