FROM STAFF REPORTS

HELENA–Author Janis Parks debuts her enjoyable yet educational children’s book, “The House of Music: Time for a Concert.” This storybook, which encourages kids to learn more about music, is set to be released nationwide this week.

Miss Marie, the piano teacher, has a special surprise for all the music notes in “The House of Music.” They are going to a concert tonight! Everyone is so excited, including Simon, the sharp note. The bus is on its way to the concert hall, and everyone is singing their favorite song. The bright and shiny instruments make a beautiful and joyful sound.

Children will be delighted as musical notes come to life in Parks’ fun-filled, new read.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at Tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting Barnesandnoble.com or Amazon.com.

Parks currently resides in Helena. After retiring from BellSouth, she went back to college to study music. Singing in the choir and leading the children’s choir has kept her inspired.

While completing her two-year program, she taught kindergarten music at church, leading her to create “The House of Music” to help her students to learn the notes.
