Alexis Marie King, 21, of Chelsea, passed away Saturday, March 19.

Alexis was born on June 24, 1994 in Evansville, Ind., and was a 2012 graduate of Chelsea High School.  She attended Colorado State University.

She was an Army widow, and leaves behind her beloved three year old son, Avery, who was the joy of her life. She loved to spend time with her friends, family and son; she was always smiling and always laughing. She was beautiful inside and out, and will be dearly missed.

Alexis is preceded in death by her husband, Jacob King.

She is survived by her parents, Johnny and Jenifer Keenum; brother, Alex Keenum; son, Avery Page; grandparents, Larry and Gail Neal, Connie Neal and Sylvia Cates; aunts and uncles, Scott Neal, Jeff Neal, Wesley and Christy Burke, and Stevie and Cammie Keenum; cousins, Madelyn Neal, Wes, Erica and Molly Burke, Stevie Keenum and Britt Richie; great grandparents, Maurice and Dean Thompson; and great aunts and uncles, Phillip and Debbie Goldson, John and Julie Kimmel, Mike and Eileen Neal, Randy and Trudy Kimmel, and Don and Joyce Shobert. Alexis is survived by many other loved ones and friends.

Visitation for Alexis will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Friday morning at Southern Heritage Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by check to Avery’s education at any Edward Jones branch (reference account 352936490). In addition, donation envelopes will be available at the visitation.
