Betty Jean Sims, age 75, of Montevallo, passed away Thursday, March 31.

She was born in Birmingham on May 12, 1940 to Leroy and Kate Terry. She was a member of Kingwood Assembly of God in Alabaster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cambridge Donald Sims; daughter, Dorothy Jacks; son-in-law, Tracy Price; and two sisters, Faye Crumpton and Frances Randolph.

She is survived by her son, Donald Wayne Jacks; daughters, Pamela Jean Jacks, Judy Darlene Price and Tammy Kay Shepherd; grandchildren, Justin Judon Price, James Jordan Price, Tiffany Akira and Kacey; sister, Carolyn Sue Elgin; and brother, Edward Terry.

Her visitation will be held Tuesday, April 5 from 12:30-2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Her funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., with Ledon Miller to officiate. Burial will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Hoover.
