HOOVER—Although it has been in business for several months, Cowboy Chicken is celebrating the grand opening of its Inverness Corners location with five days of themed deals.

The fast-casual restaurant chain specializes in southwestern-style, wood fired rotisserie chicken dishes, including chicken platters and enchiladas. Cowboy Chicken also offers a variety of tacos, sandwiches and salads.

Diners can choose from 12 different sides to accompany most meals.

All chicken is hormone free, and Cowboy Chicken offers gluten free menu options.

“As a restaurateur in the area since 2000, Cowboy Chicken plays perfectly into the growing foodie scene by offering gluten free menu options, fresh sides and hormone free chicken cooked over hickory wood locally sourced from the Birmingham area,” Inverness location manager and franchise owner Dia Zuaiter wrote in an April 5 news release.

The grand opening week will kick off May 2 with a kids’ night, during which kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree.

May 3 is Dine to Donate night, 15 percent of all proceeds will benefit the Exceptional Foundation of Birmingham.

Diners dressed in western garb will receive 50 percent off their meal during Dress like a Cowboy Day on May 5.

During Hometown Heroes Day on May 6, all members of law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, doctors, active military personnel and veterans will receive a free cobbler with presentation of their badge.

“We are excited to introduce ourselves and our signature wood fired chicken to families and new friends in Birmingham,” Zuaiter wrote. “The week of grand opening events allows us to celebrate that by giving back to the community and inviting everyone to come try Cowboy Chicken.”

Cowboy Chicken was founded in Dallas, Texas. The restaurant chain currently has 18 locations. The Inverness Corners location is the first and only Cowboy Chicken in Alabama.

Cowboy Chicken is located at 830 Inverness Corners. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit Cowboychicken.com or call 637-5400.
