PELHAM— The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s Existing Business and Industry Work Group is hosting the “Ready To Shred” Recycling Day on Friday, April 22.

This event, held in conjunction with Gone For Good Document & E-Waste Solutions and the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena, will be held from 10 a.m.– 2 p.m. in the parking lot next to the Civic Complex.

Gone for Good Document & E-Waste Solutions will be on-site with a mobile truck for document destruction, and there will also be an E-waste drop-off area.  Both will be complimentary.

The acceptable E-waste items for drop-off include: Computers and laptops, cell phones and PDAs, batteries, DVD players and VCRs, household appliances, communication equipment, office machines, printers, stereos, servers and routers.

Participants are asked to observe the following limits:

–       No more than four banker boxes of paper items.

–       No more than four lawn/leaf bags of acceptable recyclables.

–       No more than four medium plastic storage bins of acceptable recyclables.

–       No TVs or computer monitors.
