HELENA–First Baptist Church in Helena is preparing for the end of the school year by offering children a fun opportunity to participate in vacation Bible school at the first of June.

Summer vacation Bible school is open to all children grades kindergarten through fifth grade and will be held each night from June 6-10.

The vacation Bible school is titled “Submerged” and will begin at 6 p.m. and finish at 8:30 p.m. and online registration is free.

FBCH Children’s Director Susanna Buie has helped coordinate vacation Bible school for the past two years and explained what would be in store this summer.

“Monday through Thursday we will have the Submerged vacation Bible school and on Friday we will host parents night,” said Buie. “We will have music, recreation, crafts as well as a Bible lesson. I think it’s really cool, especially since we do it at night.”

Buie says she feels her calling is to work with younger children within the ministry.

“I work with babies on up to fifth grade children and I enjoy planting the seed in the hearts of younger children,” said Buie. “That’s where I give God all the glory and he equips me to do that.”
