Edward “Butch” Gottier, age 78, of Calera, the most generous and tenderhearted man who treasured his family and was loyal to Jehovah God, died Thursday, June 9.

Ed Gottier is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Jackie Gottier; mother-in-law, Florine Pearson; daughters, Lisa Jeffcoat and Gina Gobel; sons-in-law, James “Jay” Jeffocat and Alan Gobel; grandchildren, Jason Jeffcoat, Morgan and Justin Pate, and Ethan Gobel; brothers, Don and Ralph Gottier; sisters, Cookie Weas and Adele Meschwitzer, and many other cherished family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 18 at 1:30 p.m., at the Calera High School auditorium located at 100 Calera Eagle Drive, Calera, AL, 35040, with Bro. Kenneth Mobley officiating.
