Hoy Whitfield, age 82, of Sterrett, passed away Friday, June 17.

Mr. Whitfield is preceded in death by his parents, Herdis & Virgie Whitfield; sister, Margie Whitfield; and son, Clay Whitfield.

Mr. Whitfield is survived by his wife, Margene Whitfield; daughters, Pamela and Tina; sons, Phillip (Rhonda), Harlan (Laurie); grandchildren, Taryn Baucom, Raegan Whitfield, Zachary Baucom, Davis Whitfield, Victoria Whitfield; and great-grandchildren, Kellan, Charlotte, Nora Lathon.

The family received friends Sunday, June 19, at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 20, at Dunnavant Faith Baptist Church with burial at Lawley’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Whitfield will lie in state at the church on Monday beginning at 1 p.m.
