JSCC adds new sports marketing program

Jefferson State Community College will host an information session on Thursday, July 7 about its newest postgraduate program, the Pete McAskile Sports Marketing Program, geared to kick off in Fall 2016.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. at the Shelby-Hoover Campus on the first floor of the Health Sciences Building (the building across from Veterans Park).

At 6:30 p.m., Pete McAskile will present “It’s Time to Go Pro. How To Realize a Career in the Exciting World of Sports Marketing.”

The program will highlight his vast experience and expertise in the sports marketing field spanning four decades; how this program will benefit those interested in pursuing a career in sports marketing; prerequisites for entrance into the program; the curriculum and tuition costs.

Immediately following McAskile’s presentation will be a question-and-answer session allowing guests to get all the answers they need to learn how to effectively prepare to enter the real world of sports marketing.

Jefferson State is working in conjunction with the Pete McAskile Sports Marketing Program to provide an exceptional postgraduate academic opportunity for students interested in pursuing a long-term career in sports and entertainment marketing.
