Miller elected to state school administrator association’s board of directors

MONTGOMERY–Jim Miller, assistant superintendent of human resources of Shelby County Schools has been elected to the board of directors of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools. Miller was chosen by his state affiliate, the Alabama Association of School Personal Administrators to serve as an AASPA director on the CLAS board.

“Mr. Jim Miller will be an excellent leader for Alabama’s premier school leader organization,” said L. Earl Franks, CLAS executive director. “He will further the CLAS mission to coordinate and facilitate the resources of all members for the advancement of public education.”

CLAS was founded in 1969 by a small group of school leaders to provide targeted professional development and support for Alabama’s public school administrators.

CLAS now serves 12 affiliates representing each type of public school/school system leader.

CLAS provides the framework to connect dedicated school administrators and other successful leaders with a network for professional growth and support. CLAS is headquartered in Montgomery.
