PELHAM – A four-vehicle wreck on Aug. 25 involving a dump truck and tractor-trailer on Interstate 65, south of the Valleydale Road exit, injured three people.

Pelham police Lt. Pat Cheatwood said the wreck involved a tractor-trailer, a dump truck, a pickup truck with a utility trailer attached and a four-door passenger car.

Of the three people who were injured, Cheatwood said two sustained serious but not life threatening injuries.

“Two drivers had to be extricated from their cars due the damage done to their vehicles,” Cheatwood said.

Cheatwood said the wreck is under investigation and the cause of it is still unclear.
