HELENA–A new salon is now open for business in Helena and on Saturday, Aug. 27, a ribbon cutting celebration was held to celebrate the opening of the business located at 711 Creekside Court.

Jodie Johnston runs the salon and has been in the business for 26 years. Johnston has been a Helena resident for 20 years and was excited when the space opened up in Helena just one mile from her home.

“I live one mile from Helena and this spot became available and I jumped on it,” said Johnston. “I was on 280 before but then found this jewel of a spot.”

Johnston’s middle name is Adair, along with her mom and grandmother who also have Adair as their middle name and that’s how the salon got its name. Salon Adair services men, women and children for all types of hair services.

The salon has three people on staff that have been together for a number of years. The three combined have experience doing hair for 89 years.

When asked what her favorite thing was about doing hair, Johnston said the transformation.

“I love the transformation from start to finish and making people happy and just seeing the finished product,” said Johnston. “I love Helena and being close to home because it’s such a tight-knit community.”

The salon is open Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
