Frances Anna “Ann” Honeycutt, age 82, of Calera, went home Wednesday, Sept. 7.

She was predeceased by her son, Donnie Ray Honeycutt; parents, Basil Clark Gilmore, Sr., Catherine Gilmore Brown; and great grandson, Lakelin Smith.

Her survivors include her husband of 62 years, Charles Donald Honeycutt; children, Betty Ann Honeycutt, Melton Allen Honeycutt (Jenny) and Wanda Whitfield (Louis); sisters, Cathy Adams (J.W.), Shara Wright (Jim) and Loretta Adams (Terrell); brother, Basil Clark Gilmore, Jr. (Judy); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Ann will lie in state from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with a funeral mass to follow at 10 a.m. at the church.   Father Ray Dunmyer is officiating the service.
