Bobbie Nell Ring went to her heavenly home Friday, Sept. 23 at the age of 82.

One of her passions was being a “Pink Lady” auxiliary volunteer at Shelby Baptist Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ring; parents, Harvey and Neppie Latham; son, George Wooten; siblings, Lois Hayes, Helen Roper, Estelle Dunaway, Ida Mae Watson, and Joe Latham.

Her surviving relatives include daughters, Sheila Birk (Tony), Linda Templeton (Don), and Janice Vines (Mike); sons, Butch Wooten and James “Bo” Wooten Jr. (Janet); 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

The family would like to especially thank her doctors, Shelby Baptist Staff, and New Beacon Hospice for all their loving care.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 25 at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Bobbie’s funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Rockco with Rev. Stan Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.
