Velma Ruth Youngblood, age 73, of Talladega, died Tuesday, Sept. 27.

Ruth was a member of Concord Methodist Church and Shiloh Methodist Church in Talladega.

She is predeceased by her parents, William and Odell Spence; brothers, John Spence and Troy Spence; and brother-in-law, Paul Clem.

Her survivors include her husband of 56 years, David E. Youngblood; daughter, Missy Youngblood; son, Mike Youngblood; sisters, Martha Slocumb (Don), Olivia Rouse (Leonard) and Evelyn Clem; brothers, Larry Spence (Marilyn), Edwin Spence, Oliver Spence; and granddaughters, Kelsey Youngblood, Amber Youngblood and Baylee Youngblood.

The committal service will be at 2:45 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30 at Alabama National Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 at Concord Methodist Church, Talladega.
