Looking forward to the future

It’s easy as business owners to get caught up in the here and now; to be focused on the day-to-day operations so much that we neglect to envision a path to growth. This is especially true of sole proprietors or single owner/operator entities that “wear many hats” on a daily basis.
But every individual, family, business, charity, church or government must step away from the daily grind once in a while to look forward, to plan the next step and cast a vision for the future.
The fourth quarter of the calendar year is a great time to commemorate your 2017 business plan. Begin now so you are finished before the holiday season and end of the year “busy-ness” kicks in.
If you are a Helena business owner and you need help with business planning, contact the Helena Business Association.
Through our network of members, we may be able to connect you with the right person to help you with this vital business process.
The Helena Business Association will meet Oct. 4 at 8 a.m. at City Hall.
Mayor Mark Hall has agreed to speak and we hope to hear a forward looking vision for business in Helena among other topics. Also, Aubri McClendon, with Shelby County BOE, will present the “Education Connect” program, an opportunity for local business to partner with educators to create a better future workforce.
I hope to see you then.
