Ruth Lee
Leeds

Ruth Lee of Leeds ascended to her Heavenly home on January 23, 2017, at the age of 85.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7.

Ruth was born in Branchville on Sept. 16, 1931. She was the youngest child of Rubert and Rose Ash who have preceded her in death. In addition, her twin Rubye and other siblings, Jim, Mildred, Charlie, and Aube have preceded her in death. She was married to William H. “Pete” Lee for 60 years who preceded her in 2007.

A member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leeds for over 60 years, Ruth is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Pat Wilson of Sims, North Carolina, and Keri “Prissy” and Randy Eastis of Ashville; as well as her grandchildren, Wes Smith (Jennifer) of Junction City, Kansas, and Reid and Ashlee Eastis of Ashville; and great grandchildren, Zoe and Phoebe Smith of Puyallup, Washington. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, June Ash of Odenville, and a host of nieces and nephews that she very fondly regarded as her children.

Service will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, beginning with visitation at noon at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds and a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations in Ruth’s memory to the St. Clair Gideons at PO Box 895, Moody AL 35004.

The beautiful voices of Pete, Ruth, and Rubye can be heard in the Heavenly choir today.
