Norfolk Southern announces railroad-crossing closures in Helena

HELENA–Drivers should be advised that Norfolk Southern Railroad will be conducting work projects in Bessemer starting Monday, Feb. 6 for approximately two weeks that also affects the Helena area.
The list of roads that will be affected in Helena are listed below including milepost. Motorists are cautioned to drive carefully in these areas while work is in progress. Motorists should adjust times for travelling in these areas, and adhere to all signals and directions.
Updates will be given out as they are received until work is completed.
During intermittent times between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., these roads will be closed at the crossing only and detour signage will be posted by Norfolk Southern technicians:
–Shelby County 277 near Helena, mile post 22.92
–Shelby County 277 near Helena, mile post 22.01
–Shelby County 13 near Helena, mile post 20.30
–Shelby County 10 near Wilton, mile post 19.78
