Noah Galloway to speak at Pelham Flag Day event

PELHAM – The Cahaba Valley Elks and the city of Pelham is will host its ninth Flag Day Ceremony on Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m.

The nation will observe Flag Day on Wednesday, June 14.

The free, family friendly event will feature musical entertainment by the band Homeland. Copies of Homeland’s most popular songs will be available for purchase at the event.

The event will also include a presentation of historical flags, recognition of all branches of the military and attending veterans and opportunities to sing iconic patriotic songs. Most importantly, it will be an opportunity to celebrate freedom and our Grand Old Flag.

Shelby County native, Army veteran and author, Noah Galloway will speak at the event. Noah, who served in the Iraq War, will speak to guests about his personal experiences as a soldier and will sign copies his recent book, ‘Living With No Excuses.’

Book sales and signings will be available before and after the program. The event will be held at the Pelham Civic Complex, 500 Amphitheater Road.
