HELENA–Children interested in learning about music and theater this summer will have an opportunity to take part in a five-day summer camp at Helena High School in mid-July.

For the first time, the Helena High School Choral and Theatre Departments are offering a Summer Musical Theatre Camp July 17-21.

The camp will be open to any child that has completed kindergarten through fifth grade.

The cost of the camp is $65 per camper and individuals will receive three hours of instruction each day from 8-11 a.m. in the Helena High School auditorium.

The camp will be directed by HHS Theater Director Jefferson Casey, HHS Choral Director Cissy Johnson, along with other choral and theatre students.

Campers will have rotations of music and singing each day, staging recreation and a snack. On the final day of the camp there will be a presentation for families.

Those wishing to participate in the camp are encouraged to register by June 23 to ensure one receives a camp T-shirt. Registration will be accepted after June 23, but those campers may not receive a T-shirt.

When dropping off campers, parents should follow signs and park in the parking lot on the right side of HHS.

Each camper should come prepared each day by wearing gym shorts, tennis shoes and a T-shirt.

Checks should be made payable to Helena High School.
