HELENA–A new hair salon that caters to both adults and children is now open for business in the Helena Marketplace shopping center.

Great Clips celebrated its grand opening on Friday, June 9, and held a formal ribbon cutting ceremony with Helena Mayor Mark Hall and members of the Helena Business Association the morning of June 12.

Great Clips in Helena is located at 285 Helena Marketplace near the Walmart Neighborhood Market. Helena marks another location for the Great Clips franchise, which has more than 4,100 across North America.

General Manager Naureen Gilani was excited to open a Great Clips franchise in Helena.

“Just like our mission statement states we truly care more about the customer,” Gilani said. “We offer great haircuts at a great price while also providing great customer service.”

The services Great Clips provides to customers includes adult haircuts for $14, children’s and senior haircuts for $12, a shampoo for $5, a formal styling for $50, a long styling for $35, a regular styling for $25, a conditioning treatment for $10 or a bang, neck or beard trim for $5.

To celebrate the grand opening, the Great Clips in Helena is offering a special deal where all haircuts are just $4.99 over the next few weeks.

Gilani and her brother-in-law Zunaid Porbandarwala opened the Great Clips in Helena and are ready to be a part of the community.

“My husband and brother-in-law have lived around this area for the last 10 years,” Gilani said. “They own several other businesses and we can’t wait to grow here in Birmingham.

The Helena Great Clips will be open seven days a week and will offer free online check-in for customers and clip notes–a technology that allows stylists to keep notes on a customer’s haircut and is accessible at any Great Clips salon.

Helena Great Clips will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

“Great Clips franchisees employ nearly 40,000 stylists who receive ongoing training to learn the Great Clips customer care system and advanced technical skill,” according to the company.
