Kyle Felton Brown, age 85 of Brierfield went to his heavenly reward on Friday, June 30.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle F. Brown Sr. and Alma Lucas Brown, and his sister Joyce Hilyer.

He leaves behind his wife, Naomi Headley Brown, and five children, Debra Elliott (Terry), Steve Brown, Randall Brown, Wayne Brown (Lisa), and Rebecca Owings (Bryan). He left behind six sisters, Betty Barnett, Eva Jean Chambers, Sylvia Cook, Ruth Burnette, Virginia Collins (Charles), and one brother, Glenn Brown (Ann). He was blessed with nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Daddy graduated from Jemison High School as the salutatorian and was a mason at Charity Lodge #331. He was a steel worker at U.S. Steel in Fairfield, a farmer, and a merchant.

He accepted Christ early in his life and served the Lord in many ways. He was a lifelong deacon at Ashby Baptist Church and a founding member of the Brierfield Volunteer Fire department.

He was gifted with the ability to repair most any electrical or mechanical device. He could rebuild car engines, repair tractor equipment and appliances. He spent many hours over the years using his gift to help others.

We miss him and look forward to reuniting with him one day.

Pallbearers are Kyle Cook, Joseph Elliott, Ben Owings, Tommy Epperson, James Creel, and Casey Stone. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Shepperd and members of Brierfield Volunteer Fire Department. Visitation to be held at Rockco’s Funeral Home in Montevallo (directing) on Wednesday, July 5 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, July 6 at 2 p.m., viewing from 1-2 p.m. at Ashby Baptist Church in Brierfield. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery in Randolph.
