FROM STAFF REPORTS
The North Shelby Library and Mt Laurel Library are offering residents the opportunity to watch the most exciting celestial event of the year.
The libraries will host solar eclipse viewing parties from 12:30-3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21.
Advance registration is required.
Solar eclipse viewing glasses will be handed out to registered participants at the event.
Beginning at 12:30 p.m., library officials will go over instructions for safe viewing, and the eclipse will be at peak visibility around 1:30 p.m.
There will also be a live stream of the eclipse in the event of bad weather or poor visibility.
Supplies are limited, so those interested should register while there are still spaces and glasses available.
Each family member must be registered individually to receive a pair of glasses. Registration is required regardless of age.
To register, call 439–5504 for North Shelby Library or 991–1660 for Mt Laurel library, or visit NorthShelbyLibrary.evanced.info/signup/calendar.
