North Shelby man faces theft, drug charges

COLUMBIANA – A 25-year-old resident of North Shelby County was arrested July 18 on theft and drug charges.
Justin Stevon Wilder, who lists an address off Heatherbrooke Road in Birmingham, was charged with felony theft of property first degree, theft of property fourth degree, two counts of burglary third degree, unlawful possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wilder is being held at the Shelby County Jail with bonds totaling $32,000.
According to court documents, two complainants claimed Wilder stole “Magic: The Gathering” cards, a Playstation 4 game console, five trumpets, a saxophone, a flute, a clarinet, Sega Genesis and miscellaneous action figures valued at a total of $21,700.
A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, in Shelby County District Court with Judge Daniel A. Crowson Jr. presiding.
