Linda Bond Faust, age 60 of Maylene, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 6, after a brave battle with infection and cancer.
Born on Jan. 14, 1957 in Greenville, Linda grew up Garland with her parents, the late Levon and Marjorie Bond, and siblings. Linda was a graduate of McKenzie High School, Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, the University of Montevallo and Auburn University at Montgomery. While at Montevallo, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.
In her early career, Linda taught at the elementary level for sixteen years. She loved Kindergarten and teaching children how to read. After spending some time as a stay at home mom, Linda accomplished her dream of running her own business. Linda owned and managed Alabaster Florist for fifteen years. Her flower shop was her ministry and she touched the lives of many who walked through its doors.
Linda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary Donald Faust Jr. (Don); her daughter, Audra Faust; her siblings, Jerry Bond of Andalusia, Nancy Stephens of Montgomery, and Danny Bond of Honoraville; parents-in-law, Gary and Frances Faust; and brother-in-law, Jeff Faust.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Alabaster on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Mike Byars will be officiating services. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Alabaster.
