On Thursday, July 20, the Westover Business Alliance met at ServPro for their summer quarterly meeting and to pay tribute to David Wilson, owner of ServPro, who passed away on June 5, 2017.

The WBA meets quarterly at different locations with interesting speakers, food provided by a different WBA member and great door prizes. There is no membership fee to be included in the Westover Business Alliance.

Each meeting begins with an introduction, area business news, Westover municipal news, and features a business spotlight. The main program for the summer meeting was the celebration of Wilson’s vision and his passionate leadership for the Westover community. He was the main driving force in establishing and developing the WBA. He touched several people with his passionate strong belief, faith in God and his love for his fellow man. Wilson’s administrative assistant Natalee Bean provided treasured memories of him.

Columbiana Tractor was the business spotlight with Jeff Adams as the speaker. Columbiana Tractor has a Diesel Mechanic with free pick-up and delivery as well as being a new LS Tractor dealer that sells new and older tractors.

There were several door prizes donated by the following WBA members: Ruff Kutts, Shaw Motors, Cat and Bird winery, 280 Animal Clinic and Kool 96.9 FM, who donated World Deer Expo tickets.

The next quarterly meeting will be held at ServPro on Oct. 19.

The Advisory Board met after the quarterly meeting. If additional information is needed, contact Susan Lane (slane@westoveralabama.org ) or Dr. Jay Crisman (DrJ.Crisman@gmail.com).
