Patrick (Pops) Lorino, age 63, of Chelsea, passed away at his home on Sunday, Sept. 3.

Pat was a long time member of Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea and attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leeds in recent years where he was an active member of the Alabama Faith Riders Ministry. He was a graduate of Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois. He worked in the overhead crane industry for 25+ years both in the field and in sales. He was an employee of DeShazo Crane Company.

The visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6 at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Dr. Tim Cox and Rev. Billy Abrams officiating. The burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Pat is preceded in death by his wife of almost 29 years, Deby (Plarske); his parents, Jacob and Ann (Shaw) Lorino; and brothers, Bernard Lorino and Joseph Lorino.

He is survived by his children, Laura (Tim) Stanfield, Philip (Lindy) Lorino and Michael (Melissa) Lorino; one grandson and six granddaughters- all of Chelsea; brother, Ken (Clara) Lorino of Chelsea; sisters, Mary Ann (Joe) Lee of Chelsea and Jackie (Rodney) Blackmon of Pell City; brother-in-law, Gary (Sandy) Plarske of Lindenhurst, Illinois; his long time friend, Shelia Tyler of Leeds and a large extended family including many nieces and nephews.

Pat was a huge Elvis fan, a motorcycle enthusiast, an avid race fan, sports fan and music lover. He was a true handyman and a lover of duct tape. He was a true patriotic American who loved his country and supported several veterans organizations, making frequent visits to the VA facility in Pell City with the Faith Riders.
