Clifford Fair Boothe, age 70, after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Clifford graduated in 1965 from Montevallo High School, joined the US Air Force and served in Vietnam on several tours of duty. He was discharged in 1969 and met Linda Dorgan and they were married on August 9, 1969. He worked for US Steel in Fairfield for 30 years.

Cliff volunteered for Pea Ridge Fire and Rescue for 20 years, and he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He loved farming and raised cattle.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Jay Boothe; brother, Travis Wade Boothe; and mother, Eleanor Ruth Boothe.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Dorgan Boothe; daughter, Wendy Boothe Argo (Benny, Jr.); son, Benjamin Shane Boothe (Kelli); grandchildren, Savannah Elise Argo and Andrew Jacob Argo; father, Owen Franklin Boothe; and his “sister”, Dawn Harris Armstrong.

A celebration of Cliff’s life was held Sunday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. Burial followed at Macedonia Cemetery. Rev. Sam Ross officiated. Fireman honors and military honors were rendered.
