Lewis Bechtel, age 86, of Vincent, passed away Monday, Sept. 18.

The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at the funeral home with Rev. Daryl Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Bechtel is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Sherrell Bechtel; parents, Charlie and Alma Bechtel; brother, Wayne Bechtel.

He is survived by his son, Paul Edward Bechtel; daughter, Sherrell Jean Bechtel; grandchildren, Heather Ledford (Ronnie), Candi Chandler (Jason), Cori Bechtel; nine great grandchildren; brother, Dwight Bechtel (Linda); sister-in-laws, Peggy Bechtel, Mamie Sherrell Snyder (Jack); and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Betchel was a former Marine, a deacon for many years and current member of Vincent First Baptist Church.
