ALABASTER – Students, faculty and PTO members at Kingwood Christian School are asking everyone in the Alabaster community to celebrate the holiday season at the school’s Christmas Cottage event from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30.
“We invite you to kick off the Christmas season with shopping, entertainment and fellowship,” KCS PTO President Cindy Chandler said.
According to Chandler, KCS has hosted Christmas Cottage events that were exclusively for students, but this is the first year the event will be open to the public. Chandler said it will give KCS students, family members and supporters an opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts in a festive setting.
“We wanted to kick off the Christmas season by opening it up to all of our KCS family,” Chandler said. “If you live in the community, you are welcome to come.”
The Christmas Cottage event will include performances from the KCS band and choir, the ChubbFathers food truck, an auction featuring gift baskets designed by students and local vendors.
Chandler said the tentative list of vendors includes LJ’s Retail Therapy, Frou Frou Boutique, LipSense, LulaRoe, Keller Williams Realty, Rodan and Fields, Premier Jewelry, Matilda Jane, Yucatan Candle, Mary Kay, Bolin-Reeves Florist Inc., Two Tiny Tigers and Jennifer Coggin Art.
