The Shelby County Arts Council welcomes back experienced jewelry artist Carrington Wilson for new jewelry classes in February.

Wilson’s popular workshops are back, and she’s ready to teach brand-new techniques and processes to anyone with an interest in jewelry making.

These workshops are great for people with some to no experience. Wilson will walk students through every step, and materials are even included in each class price.

Check out the bracelets workshop on Feb. 3 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. In this workshop, students will use hammers and heat to create striking brass and copper cuffs.

Techniques students will learn include annealing, folding, texturing and patinas. This is a class both men and women will enjoy. Cost for this workshop is $125 and includes supplies.

If rings are more your style, then check out the rings workshop on Feb. 17 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Create fun statement pieces with sheet, wire, hammers, stamps and soldering – a fun class for beginners or those who have taken the class previously. The workshop costs $175 and includes all supplies.
