PELHAM – The Pelham Volleyball Booster Club is hosting its inaugural Market in the Middle event on Saturday, April 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Pelham Park Middle School.

The event is similar to a community yard sale, except the event will also be open to small business owners who would like to sell products or advertise services. Food trucks will also be at the event.

Event organizer and booster club vice president Judy Combs said the event is ideal for people who would like to earn some extra cash by doing some spring cleaning.

Combs said the event will take place rain or shine.

The cost for those who would like to participate in the event as a vendor is $15 for a 10-by-10 space or $25 for two 10-by-10 spaces. There is a limit of 30 vendors and the deadline to register has been extended to April 3.

The event is free for the public to attend.

The booster club supports Pelham High’s junior varsity and varsity volleyball programs throughout the school year. Combs said the booster club covered some of the cost for uniforms for the junior varsity and varsity teams and completely paid for the varsity team’s state championship rings. The club also helped sponsor the volleyball program’s annual banquet.
