ALABASTER – One of Thompson High School’s standout middle-distance runners will be continuing his athletic and academic career in Livingston, after he signed a scholarship with the University of West Alabama during an April 11 ceremony in the THS cafeteria.

Timothy Osborne, who has developed into one of the top 800-meter runners in the state, inked the college offer while surrounded by a large group of friends, family members, teammates and coaches.

“This is an exciting day for our program. THS Principal Dr. Wesley Hester encouraged Osborne to savor the experience.

“This is big, this is huge.
