Charles E. Atchison, Sr., age 79, of Calera, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11.

The visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 10-11 a.m. at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug 15 at the funeral home with Rev. Brook Lovett officiating. Burial will follow at Dargin Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Atchison is preceded in death by his parents, William Edgar and Bernice Hall Atchison.

He is survived by his sister, Margie Faye Posey (Richard); daughter, Jenny Hughes (Chris); son, William Atchison (Tommy); daughters, Angela Lesley, Lawanna Carter, Lisa Higgins, and Diane Frederick; sons, Tony Atchison, Timmy Atchison, Kent Atchison, and Chuck Atchison; and numerous grandkids and great grandkids.
