HHS to offer Youth Cheer Clinic

HELENA–Young students who have an interest in cheerleading will have an opportunity to learn cheers and dance as the Helena High School Cheer team will host an upcoming Youth Cheer Clinic.

In addition to two days of instruction, those who attend the clinic will also get to perform on the field prior to Helena’s home football game against Hueytown on Friday, Aug. 31.

The Youth Cheer Clinic is open to all interested students in kindergarten through sixth grade as the clinic will be Tuesday, Aug. 28 and Thursday, Aug. 30 from 4-6 p.m. in the Helena High School cafeteria.

The cost of the clinic is $60 and will include the two days of instruction, the performance prior to the varsity football game, a snack and a
T-shirt.

Students in the clinic should arrive at 6 p.m. at Husky Stadium on Friday, Aug. 31 for the performance where they should wear the clinic T-shirt, comfortable black shorts, tennis shoes and hair should be pulled up.

Those interested in the clinic should complete and return all forms by Friday, Aug. 22 while payment should be returned to any Helena school by Aug. 24. Checks should be made payable to HHS Cheerleading.
